Holiday in Greece
I don’t know if it’s the warm weather we’ve had recently or just the subtle need to take a break, but I’ve been thinking a lot about Greece and I realized I haven’t written about it.🤔
Oh, Greece! You are so, so beautiful! 😍 The general opinion is that Greece is expensive – well, it can be – but that doesn’t mean there are no budget friendly locations.
I was lucky and very grateful to have the opportunity to visit it last year in October – a wonderful experience on a budget.✨ We went to Olympiaki Akti and also visited the nearby attractions. (Platamon Castle and Katerini).
I’m not the most adventurous when it comes to climbing, and my body condition is also not the best to go trekking for a long time, but I did explore Olympus for some hours. The goal was getting to the famous cave church placed right on Mt. Olympus.💓 It was tiring, but worth it! The thick forest and the crisp, fresh air gave me all the energy I needed to continue.💪
Let’s go back to the beginning. Right from the start, I was impressed by the chill vibes. Everyone seemed to have a relaxing time. It was so easy to enjoy being there since everyone greeted with a kind smile. The palm trees and the beautiful beaches made it even better.🌅
Then the Greek Aesthetics – Can we just talk about the combination of blue and white? Blue is my favourite color and seeing it everywhere made my heart jump with joy. Afternoon walks on the beach accompanied by the specific Greek music from the local taverns is what happiness means.💙
Olympiaki Akti was special and fascinating to me. It was very unexpected to find both rocky mountains and the warm seaside so close to each other.❤ And that’s one of the things that made it memorable.
If you ever get there, in search of little gems, I recommend going to the Nei Pori beach. It’s the most beautiful I’ve seen so far. Crystal-clear water and beautiful landscape. It was not crowded either, but bear in mind we went there in October. Surprisingly (for me), it was still sunny weather and we could even enjoy going to the beach.
If you’re only visiting Katerini, that’s still a great choice. Just look at this shot!😍
I feel like Greece is a marvelous place you have to explore by yourself. No matter the words I’d use, they would never make it justice. So I’ll end this up with some pictures to convince you, hopefully:
What’s the best country you’ve visited?🌟
